The Fiscal Balance released bySCHPis the difference between the amount the government takes in as revenue against its overall spending. Generally speaking, if the reading is negative it means the Mexican accounts are in a surplus and that should be positive (or bullish) for the Peso. On the other hand, a growth in the federal deficit is considered negative (or bearish).

The Manufacturing BSI released by theBank of Koreashows the opinion of manufacturing executives regarding production expectations, order books and finished goods inventories. A high reading is seen as positive (or bullish) for the Korean Won, while a low reading is seen as negative (or bearish).

AiG performance of the Mfg Index released by theAustralian Industry Grouppresents business conditions in the Australian manufacturing sector. The group surveys 200 manufacturers on their assessment of the business situation including employment, production, orders, prices, and inventories, and their short-term planning. A result above 50 is seen as positive (or bullish) for the AUD, whereas a result below 50 is seen as negative (or bearish).

The Consumer Price Index released by theNational Statistical Officeis a measure of price movements.. The purchase power of the Won is dragged down by inflation. The CPI is a key indicator to measure inflation and changes in purchasing trends. Generally speaking, a high reading is seen as positive (or bullish) for the Korean Won, while a low reading is seen as negative (or bearish).

The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) released by both the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and theMarkit Economicscaptures business conditions in the manufacturing sector. As the manufacturing sector dominates a large part of total GDP, the Manufacturing PMI is an important indicator of business conditions and the overall economic condition in Australia. A result above 50 signals is bullish for the AUD, whereas a result below 50 is seen as bearish.
