Introduction to Teaching Strategies GOLD (prerequisite required)

Introduction to the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale-3rd Edition (ECERS-3) This workshop is Full. Register for waiting list only.

Description:This session is an introduction to Teaching Strategies GOLD Online, a web-based, developmentally appropriate assessment system for children birth through 3rd grade. Through video clips, small group work, and facilitator led discussions, participants will explore the structure, features, and functionality of the tool and practice using it to follow the four-step assessment cycle which links assessment and curriculum to strengthen classroom practice and improve outcomes for children. By the end of the session participants will have the basic skills needed to begin implementing Teaching Strategies GOLD Online.

Prerequisite Required:Participants MUST show proof of attendance for the following professional development webinars prior to attending this GOLD training. Introduction to My Teaching Strategies (Log in to My Teaching Strategies-click on the develop tab-click on my courses select introduction to My Teaching Strategies)  GOLD Introduction (Log in to My Teaching Strategies-click on the develop tab-click on my courses-click Gold Introduction)   Objectives for Development and Learning (2 of the 10 hours) (Log in to My Teaching Strategies-click on the develop tab-click on my courses-click on Objectives for Development and Learning-click on Exploring the Objectives (1 Hour) and then choose a minimum of 1 other domain to complete for a total of 2 of the 10 hours of training completed.) After you have completed the REQUIRED 6 hours of training. Click on Reports, Online Professional Development Report. The report must show your name and the courses and hours completed. Please email your proof of completion toby October 2, 2019. Those without proof of completion will not be able to attend this training. Bring your fully charged laptop/tablet, your GOLD online login information and The Objective for Development and Learning book.
